Mint Dhokla


Ingredients:
  • Corn flour-1 & 1/4 Cups
  • Mint Leaves-1 Cup
  • Peas-1/4 Cup
  • Red Chili Powder-1/2 tsp
  • Salt-As Per Taste
  • Baking Soda/Sodium Bi-Carbonate-1 tsp
  • Oil- 1-2 tsp
  • Water-As Required

Recipe:

Clean and wash mint leaves. Boil peas. Chop mint leaves finely.



Take corn flour, boiled peas, chopped mint leaves, red chili powder, baking soda and salt in a flat container. Mix well.



Add water to make dough. Cover the dough. Keep aside for 1/2 an hour.



Pinch dough to form it into a ball. Roll it between your palms till it is smooth and without cracks. Then, make a flat ball.



Make a see-through hole in the center of each ball.



Grease the Idli plates well.



Place all the balls in the Idli plates.



Place all Idli plates in the Idli stand. Put 2-3 cups of water in the Idli Cooker and let it boil. Then place Idli stand in the Idli Cooker. Close the lid.



Steam cook dhokla on medium-high flame for 30 minutes. Switch off the gas. Let the Idli Cooker be cool. Open the cooker and remove all plates from stand.



Transfer them to a plate.



Serve hot with Dal, Cilantro Chutney or Tomato Ketchup. Enjoy!!!



Ingredients:
  • Chana Dal-1 Cup
  • White Rice (Basmati)-1 Cup
  • Mint Leaves-1 Cup
  • Cilantro Leaves-3/4 Cup
  • Green Chili-2
  • Garlic-5-6
  • Fresh Coconut-1/4 Cup
  • Onion-2-Medium
  • Ghee-2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp
  • Salt-As Per Taste
  • Water-3-4 Cups
  • Onion Pieces,Tomato Pieces, Lemon Piece and Mint -For Garnishing

Recipe:

Wash chana dal 3-4 times.



Cook chana dal in pressure cooker with 1 & 1/2 cups of water on medium flame till 4-5 whistles come. Drain water. Keep boiled chana dal aside.




Wash rice 3-4 times. Keep aside.



Clean mint and cilantro leaves. Peel garlic. Wash mint leaves, cilantro leaves, garlic, coconut and green chili.



Blend mint leaves, cilantro leaves, garlic, green chili and coconut in the blender till pureed. Add little water if required. Keep aside.



Peel and wash onions. Cut them in small pieces. Blend onion pieces in the blender and make a smooth paste.



Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a kadhai or pan on medium flame.



Add washed rice and fry for 2-3 minutes. Stir occasionally. Keep aside.



Heat remaining ghee in the pressure cooker on medium flame.



Add onion paste and mix well. Fry till change color.



Then add mint-cilantro paste.



Add chana dal and rice.



Add 1 and 1/2 cups of water. Mix well.



Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.



Pressure cook till 1 whistle comes. Chana Dal Pulao is ready.



Garnish with onion pieces, tomato pieces, lemon piece and mint. Serve hot with raita. Enjoy!!!




Sweet Lime Juice Without Juicer

Ingredients:
  • Sweet Lime (Mosambi)-2-Big
  • Sugar/Salt-As Required
  • Ice Cubes/Crushed Ice-As Required

Recipe:

Wash sweet limes properly.



Cut them in half. Then cut each piece in 4-5 slices.



Remove the skin, white rind and seeds from all pieces. Keep the pulp aside.



Transfer the pulp to the blender.



Blend until pureed.



Strain the juice from pulp mixture.



Transfer it to the glasses. Add sugar or salt as per taste. Add ice cubes or crushed ice. Serve immediately. Enjoy!!!
