Ingredients:
- Chickpeas (Kabuli Chana)-2 Cups (After Soaked)
- Tahini Sauce-1/4 Cup
- Garlic-2 Cloves-Peeled and Washed
- Extra-Virgin Olive Oil-2 tbsp
- Lemon Juice-2-3 tsp
- Roasted Cumin Seeds Powder-A Pinch
- Black Pepper Powder-To Taste
- Salt-To Taste
- Water-As Required
- Parsley/Cilantro-4-5 Leaves-Cleaned and Washed-For Garnishing
- Extra-Virgin Olive Oil-1 tsp-For Garnishing
Recipe:
Soak chickpeas in water overnight. Wash them 3-4 times. Boil them in the pressure cooker on high flame till one whistle comes and then on simmer flame for 25-30 minutes. Let the cooker cool. Drain water.
Transfer chickpeas, tahini sauce, roasted cumin seeds powder, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, black pepper powder and salt. Blend until gets smooth paste. Add water or olive oil for smooth blending.
Hummus is ready. Serve garnished with parsley or cilantro and olive oil. It goes well with pita chips or unsalted crackers. You can also use it as bread spread. Enjoy!!!
